"Emily in Paris" Star Ashley Park Hospitalized for Critical Septic Shock, Now Recovering: ‘I’m Safely on the Other Side of the Worst’

Ashley Park, known for her role in "Emily in Paris," recently shared on Instagram that she's in the process of recovering from an illness that led to her hospitalization during the early weeks of 2024.

The actor explained that what began as tonsillitis during her vacation in December escalated into critical septic shock, impacting multiple organs. Despite initial concerns, Park expressed gratitude that her health has improved.

In a heartfelt Instagram post featuring images from her hospital bed, Park extended her appreciation to her husband, Paul Forman, for unwavering support during the challenging ordeal. She acknowledged his presence through hospitals, the ICU, ER visits, and numerous medical procedures in foreign locations far from their usual support system.

Park also thanked her medical team, ICU nurses, and the staff at Joali Being resort in the Maldives for their immediate response, language translations, and essential assistance. She recognized her team at home who managed her insurance matters.

While still in the recovery phase, Park shared the update to reassure her followers, promising them that she's safely overcoming the worst. Expressing regret for recent absence and thanking her well-wishers, she assured everyone that she is healing and will be okay.

Fellow "Emily in Paris" cast member Lily Collins commented on the post with emotional support, expressing gratitude that Park is on the other side of the health crisis. Other celebrities, including Glen Powell and Sara Bareilles, also sent messages of love and strength to Park during her recovery.

Park's recent projects include roles in "Joy Ride," Season 3 of "Only Murders in the Building," and "Beef." While Season 4 of "Emily in Paris" is in production, it remains unclear how Park's hospitalization may have impacted the filming schedule.
